Web Manager’s Profile

 

Julie Persofsky is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania.  She earned her

masters degree in clinical counseling psychology from La Salle University.  She works

as a therapist for adults in a community mental health center.  She has facilitated anger

management groups and depression coping skills groups. She currently counsels clients

individually and runs a weekly stress management group.

 

Ms. Persofsky has specialized training in suicide prevention.  She spent three years as

a therapist in the Suicide Attempter’s Project at the University of Pennsylvania,

Psychopathology Research Unit.  The Project was funded by a grant from Aaron Beck

and its purpose was to enhance the ability of therapists to work with clients who have

recently attempted suicide.

 

Ms. Persofsky also maintains the website Philadelphia Women’s Resources that provides

information and resources to victims of domestic violence.
